Museums open Monday in Honolulu
Nine of Oʻahu’s 18 museums open on Monday. Four of them are at Pearl Harbor, three are free, and the big one — Bishop Museum — is open 9am–5pm. The Honolulu Museum of Art, ʻIolani Palace and Capitol Modern are all closed.

If you’re planning around Monday
Monday is the thinnest museum day on Oʻahu after Sunday, and it skews heavily military. Four of the nine open sites are at Pearl Harbor, which means a Monday museum plan is usually a Pearl Harbor plan — and those four need separate tickets, with Battleship Missouri and the Aviation Museum charging roughly $40 and $26 on top of the free Memorial. If you want art rather than history, Monday is the wrong day; the Honolulu Museum of Art and Capitol Modern are both shut, and the nearest open substitute is Foster Botanical Garden at $5.
