According to Coyote
About
According to Coyote is an anthology of Native American trickster tales from Honolulu Theatre for Youth, told through traditional music, dance and storytelling. It was written by John Kauffman in collaboration with Spokane Ensemble Theatre, directed by Josephine Keefe and performed by Julia Keefe, an actor and member of the Nez Perce tribe. It showcases well-known characters from Native American mythology. Public performances are Saturday, November 7 at 7 pm, Sunday, November 15 at 2 pm and Sunday, November 22 at 2 pm. HTY recommends it for ages 5 and up for public audiences. The page prints no running time or content notes. Our calendar lists tickets at $15–$30. The show page prints no price and links to Eventbrite for public tickets, so check there before you go. The show plays at Tenney Theatre, 229 Queen Emma Square in Downtown Honolulu. On opening night, Saturday, November 7, the Hawaii Theatre has its Rocky Horror Picture Show Spooktacular and Bishop Museum lists Nānā I Ke Kumu, so it is a busy evening for Honolulu live events. Move ends its run on October 25 just before this one, and HTY's next show on our calendar is Tales of the Sun & Moon on January 10, 2027.
