Kaiwi & Wāwāmalu Coastal Restoration

Two hours every Tuesday evening pulling invasive plants and litter from the dunes along the Ka Iwi coast between Sandy Beach and Makapuʻu, with 808 Cleanups. Meet at the dirt lot on the ocean side of Kalanianaʻole Hwy used for Alan Davis / Left Point and look for the orange truck; sturdy boots, sun protection, water and jeans are recommended. Free, no experience needed, but everyone signs the 808 Cleanups waiver first. It is one of three weekly weekday-evening restoration sessions the group runs on Oʻahu (Kalaeloa on Wednesdays, Puʻu o Kaimukī on Fridays), and the only one on the southeast shore.
