First Saturday Community Work Day at Ka Papa LoʻI ʻo Kānewai

The UH Mānoa loʻi opens to everyone on the first Saturday of the month, 8 am to noon, for a morning in the taro patches beside Mānoa Stream: pulling weeds, clearing ʻauwai and planting huli. No reservation needed and light refreshments are provided; wear slippers and clothes that can get muddy, bring a hat, sunscreen, water and snacks, and pack out whatever you bring in. Minors need a completed waiver. Free. Of the first-Saturday workdays we list it is the only one in town and the only one that needs no sign-up.
