Color Theory is an eight-week oil painting workshop at Zwick Academy of Fine Art, 1109 Maunakea Street, Honolulu. Students study the color wheel and color relationships, control value through tint, tone and shade, and work with color temperature, chroma and neutralizing with complementary mixtures. They mix from limited palettes, build color schemes, apply the 60/30/10 rule, and complete still life studies, photo reference work and master color copies. Lectures, live demonstrations, critiques and one-on-one instruction are part of each class. The workshop meets on Tuesdays from October 13 through December 1, 2026.
