Construction Drawing and Artistic Anatomy is a ten-class weekend workshop at Zwick Academy of Fine Art, 1109 Maunakea Street, Honolulu. It teaches systematic methods for drawing the human body convincingly from any angle and in any pose. Students learn the canon of proportions and simplified forms for the pelvis, ribcage, skull and limbs, the Loomis head method, and the surface muscles of the whole body, including attachment points and how muscles change when flexed, relaxed or stretched. They also build a proportionally accurate 3D mannequin, pose it from imagination, and copy master and photo references, then move on to an introduction to shading, values and rendering. Classes are three hours each, on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon, November 7 through December 6, 2026. Lectures, live demonstrations, critiques and one-on-one instruction are included.
