Five-0 and Magnum on Oʻahu
Where both Five-0 series and both Magnums filmed, from King Street to Waimānalo and Kualoa.
Oʻahu has hosted Five-0 twice and Magnum twice. The original Hawaii Five-O (1968–1980) and Magnum, P.I. (1980–1988) shared a studio in Honolulu and many of the same locations; their remakes, Hawaii Five-0 (2010–2020) and Magnum P.I. (2018–2024), did the same, and even crossed over.
Plenty of what you saw on screen is gone or private. Five-0’s offices were sets, Robin’s Nest in the 1980s was a private estate whose house has since been demolished, and the reboot’s Robin’s Nest was built partly by computer. What remains is a lot of public places: the courthouse and palace downtown, the cemetery in Punchbowl, Waikīkī’s hotels and harbors, and the east and windward coast.
These three lists cover them by area. Where we could confirm the episode, we give it; where we could only confirm the season, we say so.

Can you visit the Hawaii Five-0 headquarters?
Yes, from outside. The headquarters is Aliʻiōlani Hale on King Street, home of the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court. The offices on screen were sets, but the building’s Judiciary History Center is free on weekdays, and the Kamehameha statue out front is always open.
Where is Robin’s Nest from Magnum P.I.?
The 1980s Robin’s Nest was Pahonu, a private estate in Waimānalo; its main house was torn down in 2018. The 2018 series made its own from several places, with aerials over Kualoa Regional Park and the house finished by computer. Neither can be visited; Kaiona Beach Park and Kualoa Regional Park are the public places nearby.
Is Kamekona’s shrimp truck real?
The truck on screen was a show vehicle parked for filming, first by the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon and later at Magic Island. For real garlic shrimp, head to the North Shore trucks in Kahuku and Haleʻiwa.
Is La Mariana from Magnum P.I. a real bar?
Yes. La Mariana Sailing Club is a 1950s tiki bar on Sand Island in Honolulu. Rick’s bar in the reboot is a set named after it, but Hawaii Five-0 filmed in the real one.
