Fall Break Camp: Amazing Arthropods

A five-day nature day camp in Makiki Valley over the October school break, 5 to 9 October, 8am to 3pm, for ages 6 to 11. This session is about arthropods — the insects, spiders and crustaceans that outnumber everything else in the valley — and it is taught outdoors on the Makiki trails rather than in a classroom. Hawaii Nature Center camps consistently sell out, and members get a fortnight's head start on registration, so a general-public booking this close in is not guaranteed. Scholarships exist for Title One students and families in need.
