Every Thursday from 8 to 11 am, volunteers help Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi turn its Heʻeia kalo into poi and kūlolo — cleaning, cooking and processing in the production kitchen rather than in the mud. Sign up on SignUpGenius and complete the waiver; no price is stated. It is the only food-production volunteer session on our calendar and a good option for anyone who wants to help but would rather stay out of the loʻi.
