A ten-week course in shibori — Japanese resist dyeing — at the Honolulu Museum of Art School, 1111 Victoria St (across from the museum), covering the folding, binding and stitching techniques behind indigo patterns. October 8 to December 17, $318. There's also a lighter 'Art for Life: Shibori' section on Saturdays from October 17 at $265.
