Ceramics (ages 13-15)
About
Ceramics (Ages 13-15) is a nine-session clay class for teens at the Honolulu Museum of Art School, 1111 Victoria Street, Honolulu, taught by teaching artist Kristina Dove. Students explore ways to make functional and sculptural artworks with ceramic hand-building techniques and receive an introduction to the potter's wheel. The class is built around demonstrations, visits to the Museum's galleries, individualized instruction and independent practice, and students are encouraged to develop their own concepts and artistic voice. It meets Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., October 18 through December 13, 2026, for ages 13 to 15. The page lists no prerequisites and no separate materials fee. The listing gives the price as $290. The course page did not show the price when it was checked, and no member or tiered pricing appears, so confirm the amount when you register. Registration is listed as closing October 4, and a waiting list is offered. This is the oldest of three kids' ceramics classes at the school on the same dates. Ceramics (Ages 6-8) and Ceramics (Ages 9-12) both meet Sundays from 10 a.m. to noon. For teens who want to try printmaking instead, Stickers, T-shirts, & Prints (Ages 13-15) shares the same Sunday afternoon time slot from October 18.
