The Perfect Stack: Ring Making Workshop

A single evening at the bench making a set of stacking rings, at El Dorado Casting Lab downtown on Friday 23 October, 5:50 to 8:30pm. Stacking rings are the sensible first metalsmithing project — several simple bands rather than one ambitious piece, so you repeat the same cuts, solders and finishes three or four times in an evening and actually get better at them. Unlike the lab's eight-week terms this is a one-night commitment, which makes it the easiest way to find out whether metalwork suits you before signing up for a course. The studio does not publish a price for this one.
