A gelli plate is a slab of gel you roll ink onto, press paper against and peel back — monoprinting without a press, which is why it is the cheapest way into printmaking anywhere on the island at $37 for the session. You leave with a stack of prints, no two alike, and nothing you need to buy afterwards beyond a plate. Suits complete beginners and children who can be trusted with ink.
